If you want to track the construction of the new Twins ballpark (and who wouldn't) the Twins Ballpark 2010 blog is a wonderful source of information. Rick, the author, frequently posts updated photos from his many visits to the construction site. In addition, his many readers post their own photos or links to other web sites related to the construction of the stadium. The photo above is taken from the Consolidated Photo web site which specializes in construction projects such as the Twins and Gophers stadiums and the 35W bridge. This view would be from behind the Home Plate area looking towards Right Field. If you notice the concrete square in bottom-middle section of the photo, that is actually the floor of the Twins dugout which will be along the 1st base line in the stadium. Pretty cool. My kids and I drive down to the site every so often to check out the progress. It's something to see up close. I can't wait for 2010.Speaking of photography, here is one of my favorite photos from our trip to Scotland. The town that we were staying in, Dalkeith, has quite a few elderly residents. Because of this, there were actually "Elderly People crossing signs." For some reason, this struck me as very funny and I had to get a picture.
When we were hiking, we took these two photos. These were the views at sunset from two of the places we stayed at night:
